The scope of the Sugar Land Heritage Foundation Museum is a focused view of Sugar Land history and its heritage, but also includes broader topics on Fort Bend County, Texas and U.S. history, especially as they relate to Sugar Land. The museum will also display loaned artifacts and temporary exhibits from neighboring museums covering topics such as:

  • Life in a company town
  • People of Sugar Land
  • The sugar industry and technology
  • Sugar Land neighborhoods and development
  • Railroads
  • Oral histories
  • Land management
